Roughriders 2015 schedule released

REGINA – The Saskatchewan Roughriders will be opening the 2015 regular season at home on June 27th against west-division rivals Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The Riders regular season home schedule has them playing one Friday game, four Saturday games and four Sunday games. Every CFL team will visit Mosaic Stadium once and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers will visit twice this season.

The Roughriders away schedule has them playing three Friday games, four Saturday games and two games on Sunday.

The Roughriders will also host the Hall of Fame game on August 22nd when the Calgary Stampeders are in town.

This will be the first time since 2005 that the Roughriders and Blue Bombers have opened up the season playing against each other.

The Riders will have their two bye weeks on week 8 and week 17.

The CFL certainly did what it could to build anticipation ahead of releasing the schedule.

Friday morning the league encouraged fans to tweet with the hashtag #CFLSchedule to ‘unlock’ the league schedule – a marketing ploy that was met with mixed reactions.
