- All schools in Halifax Regional School Board are closed
- All schools in South Shore Regional School Board are closed
- All schools in Tri-County Regional School Board are closed
- All schools in Annapolis Valley Regional School Board are closed
- All schools in Cape Breton Victoria School Board are closed
- All schools in Strait Regional School Board are closed
- All schools in Chignecto-Central Regional School Board are closed
- All schools in HRM in the Conseil Scolaire Acadien Provincial School Board are closed
- École acadienne de Truro is closed
- École Rose-des-Vents is closed
- Sandy Lake Academy is closed
- NSCC Metro, Sydney, Strait, and Cumberland campuses are closed
- Halifax and Shearwater Military Family Resource Centres will be closed today. May reopen this afternoon.
- Immigrant Services Ass. offices closed til 10am. All classes cancelled for the day.
- Halifax Public Libraries will open at 11 a.m.
- Prov. gov’t offices in Halifax County, Halifax Metro, Hants, Colchester, Cumberland and Pictou counties will delay opening until 10 a.m
- Municipal recreation programs are closed
- Most Nova Scotia Museums will open late
- DFO offices in metro Halifax are closed today until 10 a.m.
- Canadian Council of the Blind cane and guide dog walk at Scotia Square Mall is cancelled
