SASKATOON – Wednesday morning marked the kick-off for the 13th annual Saskatchewan Children’s Hospital radiothon at The Centre Mall. This unique event supports child and maternal health across Saskatchewan with three days of live broadcasting on local radio stations.
This year’s radiothon will raise funds for urgent pediatric medical equipment needs and the new Children’s Hospital of Saskatchewan, which began construction in September 2014.
Volunteers onsite answer calls and take donations. Donations can also be made online. There are also activities such as crafts and a photo booth at the mall.
Last year’s radiothon raised just over $700-thousand.
