WINNIPEG – Police are continuing to investigate a bizarre Friday morning robbery.
At about 5:20 a.m., three men went to a residence in the 200 block of Whytewold Road.
The suspects were armed with weapons such as swords and a machete. They hid their identities, forced their way into the home, confronted and threatened a 34-year-old woman.
Police say children were in the house at the time but weren’t involved.
They demanded money and property from her, stole a large TV and put it in their vehicle waiting outside.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after and all three suspects were taken into custody.
Officers found and seized the weapons they believe were used during the robbery and recovered the woman’s stolen property.
The men were remanded into custody.
