TORONTO – Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health has cancelled the city’s Extreme Cold Weather Alert.

The city issues the alerts when Environment Canada forecasts that overnight temperatures will reach -15 degrees Celsius or colder without the wind chill.

The advisory opens up extra warming centres, shelters and services for those who are most vulnerable, including the homeless.
