Karen Casey released her long awaited her response to a recommendations on how to improve the province’s education system.  A panel of experts put forward a number of recommendations last fall. The recommendations stemmed from the responses of about 19,000 people across Nova Scotia to a survey.

The finalists have been revealed for the Viola Desmond Songwriting Contest being run by Music Nova Scotia and the NS Dept of Heritage. At 8:45 we meet Michael Earle, aka MAJE, a Halifax based rapper who was inspired by Desmond’s story to write a song called “Head Held High.” We’ll get to know Earle a little better and hear some of the song live on our show!.
