The federal Transportation Safety Board (TSB) is investigating an Air Canada Express flight to Calgary from Cranbrook.

It says the plane, a Beech 1900D operated by Air Georgian,  ran into severe turbulence Sunday afternoon about 120km southwest of Calgary.

There are reports one person received minor injuries and there was minor damage to the plane.

The aircraft landed safely, but the TSB is sending a team of investigators to Calgary to look into the incident.
