WINNIPEG – A new downtown pub has garnered a lot of attention for all the wrong reasons.

The Pint Winnipeg came under social media fire after a customer tweeted a photo of a racy beer ad poster.

The poster depicts a nearly naked woman bent over and exposed while reaching into a beer fridge.

The ad is accompanied by the headline “Why guys always keep their beer on the bottom shelf.”

Ben Wickstrom tweeted a photo of the questionable decor with the comment, “Hey @pintwinnipeg what year is this? Would you put up a picture of a man doing the same thing? Please do better.”

Within hours the comment had been retweeted and shared dozens of times with comments about the racy and explicit photo.

Saturday night, nearly 24 hours after the poster was first tweeted out, The Pint responded on social media, apologizing to anyone who may have been offended, and said they would remove the poster.

The poster has since been removed.
