HALIFAX – A recall of apple products is being expanded to P.E.I. due to concerns over possible listeria contamination.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says Scotian Gold Co-operative Limited is recalling its apple slices.
The agency says the Scotian Gold products include Tart Apple Slices, Apple Snacks on the Go and slices with caramel dip, and should be thrown out.

The apples were exported by Bidart Brothers in the U.S. and sold in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
The measure follows a recall of Granny Smith and Gala apples sold in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador.
Listeria can cause vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches and severe headache.
