MONCTON – A 32-year-old man from Moncton charged with multiple offences related to a fatal crash in Bass River, N.B. that claimed the life of a 19-year-old man on Jan. 1, has been apprehended by the RCMP.
Police arrested Ronald James Fairweather at his residence on Cedar Street in Moncton Friday afternoon. He was taken into custody without incident.

Fairweather was charged with four offences including failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing death, possession of stolen properly, failing to stop while being pursued by police and operating a motor vehicle in a dangerous manner.
Fairweather remains in police custody.
