Going to ET Canada’s NYE in Niagara Falls? Here’s a survival guide

ET Canada is gearing up for its annual New Year’s Eve bash in Niagara Falls, Ont. – airing Wednesday at 10 pm ET on Global.

To make sure fans are ready for the country’s biggest NYE party, we’ve put together a survival guide.

First and foremost, dress for the weather.

We cannot stress enough that it’s cold in Canada on Dec. 31 and even when you’re squished in like sardines with more than 60,000 other Canadians, it can get a bit chilly.

Check the local forecast before dressing for the evening because nothing ruins a New Year’s party like frostbite.

Wear appropriate footwear. Even though Cheryl Hickey, Rick Campanelli, Sangita Patel and performers might look glam in the footwear department, heels and dress shoes are not a good idea. We can only put down so much hay before the park turns into a mud field.

You will be outside for a very long time. Fans who are interested in attending the show should arrive at the park no later than 8 pm, dressed, fed and well hydrated — although there will be food and drink available for purchase.

For those fans who consider themselves “diehards,” there will be special VIP tickets available. The best way to get those? Show up as early as you can and show us just how big a fan you are! Homemade signs? We love them. You and your closest friends screaming a song you wrote for Nick Jonas? Welcome to the Special K VIP Zone. A knit hat with a picture of you and Shawn Mendes on it? We bow down.
