TORONTO – The province’s police watchdog is investigating after a shooting in Scarborough overnight.
Police were called to Warden subway station just after midnight for an armed robbery in progress.
When officers arrived, they chased a male suspect before opening fire.
Paramedics treated the suspect on scene for several minutes before he was pronounced dead.

The Special Investigations Unit has assigned eight investigators and three forensic investigators in the case.
