EDMONTON – RCMP have charged bus driver Neil Christensen with careless driving in connection with a September incident that left two St. Albert families and their neighbours shaken up.

“[The bus] left the road, travelled up through the boulevard onto a person’s yard,” said Cpl. Laurel Kading with St. Albert RCMP following the Sept. 30 crash that happened in the area of Heritage Drive and Haviland Crescent.

The bus – which didn’t have any passengers on board – collided with one home’s fence, shed and trampoline. It then broke through a second fence and entered the neighbouring backyard, where it struck a deck before finally coming to a stop.
