HALIFAX – Halifax Regional Police have been on the scene of a sudden death in the city and are treating the case as suspicious until the cause of death is determined.
Officers initially responded to a report of a death at a home on Almon Street at 1 p.m. Officers found the body of a 39-year-old woman inside.
Investigators with the Major Crime Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have spent Sunday afternoon at the scene and are being assisted by the coroner’s office.
Police say the investigation is in its early stages.
