WINNIPEG – Why not tell the fluffy four-legged love in your life you love them with a custom wreath?

D’Arcy’s A.R.C. has started making dog and cat themed wreaths to raise money for the shelter’s animal support. The wreaths, for either dogs or cats, can be customized with your pet’s name and are put together by volunteers.

“We have a lot of fundraisers going on at this time of year, especially involving volunteers and homeless animals,” says D’Arcy Johnston, founder of the animal shelter. “We’re being very creative this year- we’re making wreaths!”

So far, roughly 60 wreaths have been sold in support of furry friends that may be left behind this holiday season.

“All the money goes to the homeless animals, which is kind of nice,” said Johnston. “This is our first year we’re doing it, and it’s doing quite well.”
