A badly abused poodle was found burned and left for dead in Spencer, Oklahoma.
Mike Weiss, an animal control officer, told KFOR that around two-thirds of the dog’s back was burned down to the skin, which was a blistering red and black.
“The first thing that went through my mind is how could someone do this, and did the owner know where the dog was, or was the owner responsible for this?” he said.
Police are searching for clues that might lead them to the person responsible for abusing the dog who has been affectionately named “Little Spencer.”
Kim Hagan, the veterinarian who treated the dog, said the wounds on Little Spencer were much more severe than she expected.
Investigators are asking for anyone with information to call in to Spencer police.
