WATCH: Susan Hay finds out how Two Moms Bakery is helping moms fulfill their children’s sweet tooths with allergy safe products.

TORONTO- 2 Moms Baked Goods make it their goal to provide sweet treats for people living with food allergies. The bakery creates a variety of nut, gluten and dairy free products for any function or event.

“There is such a need in the market of allergy friendly products that taste good and aren’t mass produced,” said Karen Fleischer-Sheffer, the owner of 2 Moms Baked Goods.

Approximately 300,000 children in Canada live with a food allergy, and finding safe products in grocery stores and most bakeries can be a challenge.

“I have a child with a peanut allergy, and I was interested in the options for my patients as well,” said Dr. Adelle Atkinson, a clinical allergist at the Hospital for Sick Children. “Knowing that they have options that are safe outside their home is huge to the social development of the children.”
