TORONTO – Riding the highly anticipated Union Pearson Express for a one-way trip from Pearson airport to downtown Toronto will cost users $27.50.
Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne and Minister of Transportation Steven Del Duca made the announcement at the Union Pearson airport terminal Wednesday morning.
However, PRESTO card users will get a discount with a one-way fare of $19. It was announced seniors, students, families, children and airport employees will also be given reduced fares.
Those who board the Union Pearson Express at mid-points will also be paying less.
The train will run every 15 minutes and full one-way trip will take 25 minutes.
The new $456 million rail link is targeted for completion just in time for the Pan Am Games in 2015.
