MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – A teenaged girl is in hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Mississauga.
Peel police say the collision happened just after 7 a.m. Monday on Glen Erin Drive near Winston Churchill Boulevard and Derry Road.

The girl, who is believed to be about 13 or 14 years old, has been transported to Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children with serious injuries.
Police say the vehicle involved remained at the scene.
There are few additional details but police say they are continuing to investigate.
