Firefighters battle massive blaze in downtown L.A.

WATCH: Los Angeles firefighters battled two massive blazes overnight and early this morning. There was extensive property damage but no reported serious injuries. David Begnaud has the latest from Los Angeles.

TORONTO – More than 200 firefighters are on scene of a massive blaze at an apartment complex under construction in downtown Los Angeles Monday morning.

Media reports say the fire, which broke out just after 1 a.m. local time, spread to two other buildings and forced the closure of two highways nearby.

So far, no injuries have been reported as a result of the fire located at W. Temple Street.

The cause of the fire is unknown but witnesses say the flames could be seen for miles.

WATCH: A massive fire raged in an apartment building under construction in downtown LA this morning. More than 250 firefighters were reported to have battled the blaze. Freeway 110 was closed down.
