CODETTE, Sask. – A former hockey coach and foster parent charged in two sexual assault cases is dead. Thomas Donald Mark was found in his Codette, Sask. residence Friday evening by Nipawin RCMP.

Mark was charged on Nov. 23 with nine sexual assault charges after two men came forward earlier this year with the allegations against him. Both were youths at the time of the alleged assaults.

One of the men said he first made contact with Mark at an arena in Nipawin where Mark did maintenance work.

Mounties say foul play is not suspect. Police along with the coroner’s office continue to investigate. No other details have been released at this time.
