WINNIPEG – Four people escaped from a blaze in a house in Winnipeg’s north end Tuesday.
The alarm came in at about 11 a.m. for 427 Magnus Avenue, a wood frame bungalow between Powers and Salter Streets.
A witness saw a family including a small child run from the burning house; paramedics treated four people at the scene for minor smoke inhalation.
“They’re ok they’re just a little shook up and they’re just happy that their boy is ok,” says Bonnie Predenchuk a relative of the family who lived in the home.
Fire crews at first stayed out of the house and fought the blaze from the outside; they later entered the home and were also on the roof.
