Surveillance video caught some strange activity inside Hudson Meats in Austin, Texas Sunday night.
After 20 minutes of attempting to push through the locked door of the butcher shop, 28-year-old Ricardo Cardona successfully broke in and grabbed a few packages of sausages then left the shop.
The footage then shows Cardona coming back inside where he opens the door to the meat cooler, realizes it’s much too cold for him, then finds his way into the office at 5:30 a.m. He grabs a coat, kicks his feet up on the desk and falls asleep.
The sleepy bandit woke up to police knocking on the office door. According to the arrest affidavit, Cardona said “I don’t work here, sir,” at the sight of the officers.
Cardona told police that he was likely drunk and cold and looking for a place to get warm.
