Lethbridge Regional Police say it appears a stabbing incident late Tuesday afternoon was targeted, and involved subjects who are known to each other.
Police responded to reports of two men fighting and found a 43-year-old man lying in an alley in the 1400 block of 3 Avenue North.

He was suffering from stab wounds to the head.
The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance in serious condition, and then flown by plane to Foothills Hospital in Calgary.
A 40-year-old male suspect arrested at the scene remains in custody.
