Lethbridge School District 51 releases provincial exam results

Lethbridge School District 51 has released results from the 2013-2014 provincial exams. The numbers overall are good, as results remain steady throughout the district.

For District 51 Superintendent Cheryl Gilmore, provincial exams allow her to identify trends.

“Every single year is a different group of kids, different dynamics, different class room composition, so we look at yearly results, but we also look very carefully at trends.”

Getting these yearly numbers also allows her to identify strengths and weaknesses.

“What do our results in our school say about whether, or not our students have areas that are challenging for them on the test that we could take a look at and see how we’re delivering instructions in those particular areas.”
