UPDATED: 2 teens killed after truck goes over embankment in Chipman

RCMP in Chipman, N.B. are investigating after a half-ton truck went off an embankment and landed on its roof in water, killing two teenagers and injuring two others.

A 14-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which happened around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.

A 13-year-old boy was later pronounced dead in hospital.

Two other boys under the age of 18, remain in hospital with undetermined injuries.

The crash happened on Roy Mills Road in Chipman.

The identities of the victims have not been released, pending notification of their families.

An accident reconstructionist is assisting the RCMP investigation.
