TORONTO – A Toronto woman prevented a possible accident Wednesday night after jumping into a moving parking enforcement car.
At about 11 p.m., the woman had flagged down a parking officer after someone had damaged her parked car.
But media reports say as the officer was exiting his vehicle, he tripped and his foot was run over by his moving vehicle.
The woman jumped into the car, steered it to the side of the road and hit the emergency brake before it could roll onto a busy Avenue Road.
The unidentified woman, believed to be in her 20s, called 911 and comforted the officer until paramedics and police arrived. The officer suffered a crushed foot.
