TORONTO — Charlie Sheen said Monday he would love to return to Two and a Half Men before the end of its run early next year.

“The chances would be 100 per cent,” Sheen told E! News when asked if he’d go back to the show that very publicly fired him in 2011. “If they want to do it.”

Sheen said his reappearance would have to be classy.

“I want to do it in a way that still services what the show is today, and also honours what it was when I was there,” he explained.

“Who knows? I’m sure they are over there right now, pen to paper, trying to figure something out. If it’s not done properly, then there is no reason to do it. But it’s a pretty smart group over there and I’m sure they will figure something. Something that makes sense to everyone.”

The sitcom’s creator Chuck Lorre recently said there has been no serious discussion about welcoming Sheen back.

Sheen’s character was killed off after a public meltdown got him canned from the series. Kathy Bates won an Emmy Award for playing the ghost of Sheen’s Charlie Harper.

Less likely to return to Two and a Half Men is Angus T. Jones, who played Jake Harper. In March, he publicly criticized the show.

“It was making light of topics in our world that are really problems for a lot of people,” said Jones, “and I was a paid hypocrite because I wasn’t okay with it but I was still doing it.”

Two and a Half Men, starring Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer, starts its last season next month.
