Sizzling start to fall weather in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Despite fall kicking off in Saskatchewan Monday at 8:29 p.m., thermometers will continue to show summer-like temperatures to start off the new season.

Parts of central Saskatchewan climbed into the 30s Monday afternoon with Saskatoon topping out around 29 degrees.

Saskatoon was feeling like 30 with the humidex through much of the day.

Tuesday will bring along another slough of hot temperatures across the province; however, 30 may be just out of reach for the Bridge City.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will see another surge of hot conditions, making the first week of autumn one of the hottest weeks so far this year.

Elsewhere in the province, many areas are expected to hit 30 degrees throughout the week.

Over a dozen records were broken across Saskatchewan Monday with many more expected to be shattered throughout the week.

By the weekend, conditions are expected to take on a more fall-like feel for the final few days of September and heading into October.
