WINNIPEG-Winnipeg Jets first round draft pick Nikolaj Ehlers scored a pair of third period goals to spark the Jets comeback and then scored the winner in the shootout. The Jets prospects defeated the Edmonton Oilers rookies 5-4 in a shootout Monday afternoon to conclude the Young Stars Classic in Penticton, B.C.

After scoring three straight goals, the Oilers had a 4-2 lead in the third period until Ehlers scored back-to-back goals to send the game to overtime. Ehlers missed Sunday’s game against the Vancouver Canucks with a lower body injury.

Brenden Kichton and Jean Dupuy scored the other goals for the Jets. Eric Comrie was in net for Winnipeg. The Jets finish the prospects tournament with two wins and one loss.

Veteran players report for physicals and testing on Thursday with the first on ice session of main camp scheduled for Friday.
