KELOWNA — A handful of students at Kelowna’s largest school are trying to get their point across by staging a sit-in.
About 20 students occupied the foyer at Kelowna Senior Secondary Monday to protest the lack of progress in the teachers’ strike.
They say they’re not taking sides in the dispute but want to remind both parties that it’s the students who are suffering the most.
The sit-in was organized through social media and was approved by the school’s administration.
The teachers’ strike has entered its third week. Both sides met over the weekend and have agreed not to comment unless there’s significant progress.
