Runners pounded the pavement of the Downtown Eastside Saturday morning for the annual Eastside 10k.
The race started at 8:30 a.m., winding through Strathcona, Gastown and the Downtown Eastside.
Participants were encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the food bank, and to fund-raise for the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre; Watari Counselling and Support Services; and the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.
