WINNIPEG — Do you know your snow zone?
The City of Winnipeg is looking at increasing fines for people who park in snow zones that are scheduled for snow clearing.
A city council committee on Tuesday approved a proposal to double ticket fines for parking in areas scheduled for plowing to $300 from $150, and $150 from $75 for those who pay early.

City staff also proposed changes to improve communication about when an area is being plowed.
Presently, the city is plowed using a system of “snow zones” where people must move their cars to avoid being ticketed and towed ahead of plowing.
This prompts us to ask — do you know your snow zone?
