TORONTO – Road safety is still a major concern in Leaside where a 7-year-old girl died this summer.
Georgia Walsh was killed at the intersection of Millwood and McRae Drive in July when a driver allegedly ran a red light.

Following that tragedy, city council passed a law prohibiting motorists from turning right on a red.
Signs were put up last week, but when Global News returned on last Friday, it seemed many drivers were looking elsewhere and not obeying the ban.
The male driver who struck and killed Walsh was charged last month with failing to stop at a red light and careless driving.
