LIMA, Peru – The U.S. Geological Survey says a large 7-magnitude earthquake has struck central Peru.

There are no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The seismological service says in a preliminary report that the quake occurred at 2321GMT Sunday and was centred about 42 kilometres (26 miles) of Tambo, Peru.
