SASKATOON – Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon will have a new name on Oct. 1: SaskTel Centre.
SaskTel secured the naming rights to the arena for ten years at a cost of $350,000 a year.
“SaskTel has been a proud sponsor of the venue for more than 15 years and this partnership will provide the platform for SaskTel to showcase its leading edge service and technology capabilities within the venue,” said Ron Styles, SaskTel president and CEO.
“This is another example of our commitment to being actively involved in the communities in which our employees and customers work and live.”
Under the deal, SaskTel will remain the exclusive communications provider for the venue.
The first event that will be hosted at SaskTel Centre is “Walking with Dinosaurs” and SaskTel wireless customers will have the chance to get a ten per cent discount on tickets.
The former Saskatchewan Place was rebranded Credit Union Centre ten years ago.
