SASKATOON – No one was injured after a Monday afternoon house fire in Saskatoon.
Firefighters were called to 222 Candle Cres. in the Lawson Heights neighbourhood around 5:30 p.m. after receiving a report of smoke coming from the windows of the house.
Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the living room window and entered the house to find a fire in the kitchen.
The fire was brought under control in 11 minutes.
A neighbour informed firefighters no one was home and a search of the house confirmed it was unoccupied.
Damage is estimated at $300,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
