CALGARY- The recent crash of a Malaysia Airlines plane in Ukraine and the mysterious disappearance of another one has left many travellers uneasy about flying with the airline. As a result, the company is waiving change fees.
A statement on their website reads in part:
“In light of the MH17 incident, Malaysia Airlines will be waiving any change fees for passengers who wish to make changes to their itinerary…passengers who wish to postpone or cancel their travel plans can obtain a refund, including for non refundable tickets.”
Changes can be made up until July 24, 2014, and are valid for any travel up to December 31, 2014.
To make a change, call the Malaysia Airlines ticketing office or call centre.
