MONTREAL – A cyclist is in critical condition after a driver ran a red light on Sunday night.
Around 10 p.m., the cyclist was heading westbound on Van Horne while the driver was travelling north on Decarie.

The cyclist was hit and thrown to the ground.
Police believe alcohol and speed were not factors.
Investigators were on site for hours reconstructing the scene and interrogating the driver.
They say its likely the driver was distracted.
