The animal was found at a pasture soon after a police search was conducted.
Police say the owner arrived on scene an hour after the sighting and clarified that it was a heifer and not a bull, as earlier reported.
The black, one-and-a-half year old heifer was named Bambi due to its love of jumping.
No one was injured as a result of the incident.
