WINNIPEG – A woman taken to hospital in critical condition after a stabbing early Friday morning has died, police say.
Police were called to the back lane between Aberdeen and Redwood avenues near Salter Street at about 4:15 a.m. Friday.
They found a woman suffering from what looked like stab wounds. She was sent to hospital in critical condition and she later died there.

The K9 unit was called in as police shut down the area for the investigation during the Friday morning rush hour.
