VERNON — The beer is flowing at Okanagan Spring Brewery – even more so following Tuesday morning’s announcement that the plant is expanding.
The brewery – owned by parent company Sleeman Breweries Ltd. – is investing nearly $4.5 million into expansion upgrades in order to meet demand.
The company says it’s increasing capacity by 20 per cent by expanding the brew house, tanks and refrigeration.
Work is set to begin in the fall with completion set for next spring.
The plant employs 135 workers. The company say it has plans to hire more workers but couldn’t offer specifics.
