OTTAWA – The spring session of Parliament may be wrapping up, but the government’s not done making news — most notably on long-awaited reforms to the temporary foreign workers program.
Immigration Minister Chris Alexander and Employment Minister Jason Kenney will reveal the latest changes to the controversial program, which critics say employers have been abusing at the expense of job-seeking Canadians.
Public Works Minister Diane Finley also has an announcement today in support of Canadian innovation, job creation and economic growth.
And Alexander will reveal funding to help protect the rights and well-being of refugees and other displaced persons around the globe.
