A school bus and a semi-trailer truck collided at the intersection of the Trans-Canada Highway and Highway 41 near Virden, Man., on Friday morning.
The driver of the school bus, which was travelling south on Highway 41, was turning east onto the Trans-Canada just before 8:30 a.m. when an eastbound semi hit the front of the bus, significantly damaging both vehicles, Virden RCMP said.
There were three children on the bus but none were injured in the crash. The bus driver suffered minor injuries.
Both lanes of the Trans-Canada were blocked by the collision and traffic was rerouted by RCMP. Motorists were advised to expect delays and slow down in the area and watch for emergency workers.
