MONTREAL — Carlo Rossi is a big Boston Bruins fan and everyone at his place of work, Loem Consultations in Longueuil, knows it.
Rossi was so confident that his favourite team would win the series against the Montreal Canadiens, he took a wager with colleague and Habs fan Israel Labadie a few weeks ago.
The bet: the loser would have the logo of the opposing team shaved into the back of his head.
On Thursday morning, it was Rossi’s time to “pay up.”
He showed good sportsmanship and didn’t back away.
The life-long Bruins fan is now sporting a “CH” for everyone to see.
“I’m getting myself a Bruins tuque to cover it up,” Rossi told Global News.
“My mother will be so disappointed.”
“I’m happy now because the good logo is on Carlo’s head now,” colleague Israel Labadie said, laughing.
“He’s a good sport.”
Scott Ramos from Notorious Barber Shop in St. Henri said that he thinks the new haircut will have a lasting effect.
“Has it converted him to the Habs? We’re halfway there,” Ramos noted.
Officials at Loem Consultations plan to organize a similar wager next year and are planning on using the event to raise money for charity.
