6:30 a.m.: Run with candidate Daiene Vernile

Riding: Kitchener Centre (Liberal)

2011 Election results:
Liberal: 53.90%
NDP: 22.50%
PC: 18%
Green: 3.40%

The Liberals took this riding by a healthy margin in 2011, so Wynne’s starting the day on friendly turf as she continues the running motif that’s becoming the most visible hallmark of her campaign’s early days. (We aren’t privy to the focus testing for that strategy decision, but we’re fairly confident that, regardless of election outcome, a whole lot of Ontarians are feeling guilty about their fitness routines)

8:30 a.m.: Christie Digital Interactive Studio

Riding: Kitchener-Waterloo (NDP)

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

2012 bylection results:
PC: 38.10%
Liberal: 30.40%
NDP: 27.80%
Green: 1.50%

Solidly Tory for years, the NDP’s Catherine Fife took the riding in a 2012 byelection, which may make the Liberals think they have a good shot. Perhaps more significant is Wynne’s choice of location for her job-boosting message – a visual tech company with a global footprint.

Noon: MDA Robotics, 9445 Airport Rd., Brampton

2011 Election results:
NDP: 40.40%
Liberal: 31.90%
PC: 19.10%
Green: 2.80%

Wynne wants to take back this 905 riding from the NDP’s Jagmeet Singh, which gives her one more reason to check out Canadarm-maker MDA Robotics. High-tech Canadian company, universe-wide reach – are we seeing a pattern here?
