EDMONTON – The medical examiner has determined that a body found in the North Saskatchewan River on Thursday is that of Louise Veillard, who was last seen on May 2.
The Edmonton Police Service Missing Persons Unit had been investigating the 26-year-old’s disappearance since May 5.
It has now concluded the investigation.
Police say there are no indications of foul play and the death is considered to be non-criminal.
Earlier in May, family, friends and community members rallied together to gather information about ‘Lou’ Veillard’s disappearance.
When the Missing Persons Unit took over the case, a message was posted on the Facebook page set up for the search, thanking people for their support, but asking that posters and photos of Veillard be taken down.
