The young man was set to graduate from the University of Calgary this year with a degree in Urban Studies.

To help students attend his memorial, dozens of Calgary Transit employees pooled their money to pay for a special charter bus to travel from the University of Calgary to the church and back.

The special route is called 430, in honour of Hong’s birthday, which was April 30th.

Friends describe him as funny and friendly, and say he was a regular volunteer at the Calgary Folk Music Festival.

Josh Hunter, Jordan Segura and Kaitlin Perras were laid to rest on Monday, and a memorial for Zackariah Rathwell was held on Tuesday.

The man accused in the murders, 22-year-old Matthew de Grood, has been ordered to undergo a 30-day assessment to determine whether he is mentally fit to stand trial.
