Wed. April 23rd on The Morning News

We have another jam-packed show for you on Wednesday. To kick-off ‘hump-day’ we’ll have an update from Team Myles – as they prepare for the upcoming Bluenose Marathon! Devin Sherrington will drop by the red table to talk strategy with Paul at 8:45. The big day is fast approaching and we’ll find out how the last minute training is coming together!

At 7:15 Woozles Bookstore manager Suzy MacLean will join us to tell us about some exciting news for the well-known Halifax book seller. The famous store is now offering books online and there are also other developments to share..including a new book delivery service!

Singer-songwriter and all-around great guy, Ian Janes will stop by to sing us a song at 7:45. He’ll be joined by Emily Myers who is organizing a fundraising concert called “The Stage is Our Playground” featuring Janes, Charlie A’Court and Ian Sherwood. All money raised will help pay for a new playground for the kids of Crichton Park School in Dartmouth.

If you’re lucky enough to go on a trip, you’re likely booking flights and hotel rooms, but you might need to also book a doctor’s appointment.  At 8:15 our Morning News Family Physician is back with tips on how to prepare for that big trip – some destinations require special health considerations – and nobody wants to be sick on vacation.

If you like to garden, be sure to tune in at 8:45! Niki Jabbour will drop by the red table to talk about spring planters. It’s the perfect time to select some hardy plants to get your garden started early!
