Highway 1 closed north of Boston Bar due to fatal collision

VANCOUVER – One person has been killed in a collision between a car and a truck north of Boston Bar this afternoon.

Two people have been taken to hospital.

Highway 1 was closed at Blue Lake Road, which is about 15 km north of Boston Bar. It is now open to one lane alternating traffic.

At least one of the vehicles caught fire following the collision and black smoke could be seen pouring into the sky.
